As one of the very first famous female artists, everyone should know who Georgia O’Keeffe is. The mark that she left on the world is important because she got us to look closely at nature and see its value. The Queen of “zooming in” showed us how to look carefully at the details and appreciate the beauty. In Hawaii this is something that we can certainly relate to. Surrounded by enormous beauty, we can sometimes take it for granted. But we know that in order to keep the gift of nature we must take care of it.
Since she is most famous for her close-ups of flowers, we decided to paint them barrowing her style. Here are some more examples.
