We usually associate paper with painting and drawing. It is often overlooked as a medium for sculpture, but it is so versatile. For this project students experimented with different textures creating rubbings on paper first. Next, they folded, twisted and cut the paper in as many ways as they could think of to create a 3D, abstract piece of art. Some even incorporated some origami that we learned at the beginning of the summer.

Once again, students were asked to play around with size, and spacing to create a pleasing composition.
