Theme Names

The 6th graders just completed a fun and creative back-to-school project using their name as the foundation for their design. They were asked to pick a theme, such as Disney (above), food, a season, the ocean etc., then transform their letters into elements of the theme, while at the same time making sure that it's still legible. In the example above, can you read the name? Can you figure out what each letter represents?

Students learned how the theme can transform the letter like how the letter H becomes a tree, be drawn inside the letter (E and A) or even wrap around the letter like the snake in the leter L. You can also put things on top or behind a letter. Can you tell what Leah's theme is?
