This Kindergarten project (although kids of all ages enjoy it) is super popular, and very fun way to learn the difference between 2D and 3D, as well as experiment with different paper techniques. The kids learn all different ways to use paper to make it (literally) JUMP off the page! We make hills, twist it, curl it, do accordian folds, make "grass", loop, tear, crumple and use "crazy scissors." Then they invent and share their own methods with each other.
Can you think of another way to use paper that I didn't mention? If you want to try this at home all you need is scissors, glue, a large piece of paper, and strips of colorful paper to experiment with. Have fun! :)
